Hi everyone! I'm back again with another installment of Eddy's Spotlight!
This time I am talking to Eloise DeLeon.
Eddy: So Eloise, what do you do at Eduphoria?
Eloise: I'm an Aware trainer. I get to travel around and teach people how to do really cool things with their data!
Eddy: How long have you been with Eduphoria?
Eloise: 4 months
Eddy: That's great! So, what's your favorite thing about working at Eduphoria so far?
Eloise: The people I work with and meet are the best thing about working at TEAM Eduphoria. We all are working collaboratively towards the same goal, and I get to meet others who also use Eduphoria to improve learning across the state.
Eddy: How do you like to spend your free time?
Eloise: Without a doubt, I would spend it with my best friend in the world – who just happens to be my husband.
Eddy: Awe, that's so sweet. I like to nap in the sunshine. Who is your hero?
Eloise: My hero was humble, giving, always thinking of others first, never one to complain, and a beacon of positivity to all those around her: my mom.
Eddy: Who was your favorite teacher in school and how did they impact your life?
Eloise: Mrs. Virginia Susana Byington was my favorite teacher. Up until her class, I thought of English as boorrrinnng. She did something that no other teacher did before her when I asked why we were reading this Shakespeare stuff. She made me see literature through the eyes of my own life, and through that, I learned lessons that went beyond what I learned in that classroom.
Eddy:Do you have any pets?
Eloise: No but my niece likes the cow cat next door.
Eddy: Who are your favorite people?
Eloise: I like everybody and think I share my life with them all! So, I adore those rare moments when I get to spend time at home relaxing, surrounding myself in peace and quiet.
Eddy:What's the one movie you could probably quote every word to?
Eloise: The Birds. I do not think I will ever look at a turkey the same way ever again!
Eddy: I just LOVE birds! They taste so good…oh, wait, we were talking about movies weren't we?
